Buddha Dordenma is a massive statue of Buddha located in the mountains overlooking Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The statue is made of bronze and gilded in gold, and stands at a height of 51.5 meters, making it one of the largest Buddha statues in the world.

Construction of the statue began in 2006 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the fourth king of Bhutan, Jigme Singye Wangchuck. The statue was completed in 2015, and is said to contain 125,000 smaller Buddha statues inside it.

Visitors can climb up to the base of the statue, which is also home to a monastery and several prayer wheels. From the base, there are stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valley and mountains.

Tashichho Dzong is a Buddhist monastery and fortress located in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The dzong is the seat of the Bhutanese government and also houses the throne room and offices of the King of Bhutan. It was first built in 1216 by Lama Gyalwa Lhanangpa and expanded in the 17th century by the Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. The current structure was built in the 1960s by the Third King of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, after a fire destroyed the original building.

Tashichho Dzong is an impressive structure with traditional Bhutanese architecture, featuring white walls, red and gold roofs, and colorful wooden windows. The dzong houses several chapels and temples, including the main temple, which is dedicated to the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. The inner courtyard of the dzong is a popular gathering place for locals and tourists, and visitors can watch monks performing their daily rituals and ceremonies.

The dzong is also known for hosting several important religious festivals and events throughout the year, including the famous Thimphu Tshechu, a three-day festival held in the autumn. During this festival, monks perform colorful masked dances and traditional songs and prayers to celebrate the teachings of Guru Rinpoche.

Dochula Pass is a high mountain pass located at an elevation of 3,116 meters above sea level in Bhutan. It is situated on the road between Thimphu and Punakha and offers stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range.

The pass features 108 chortens, or stupas, which were built by the Queen Mother of Bhutan to honor the Bhutanese soldiers who died in a conflict with Indian rebels in 2003. The chortens are arranged in three layers, with 45 chortens on the first layer, 36 on the second, and 27 on the third. The pass also features a large prayer wheel that visitors can spin to earn merit.

In addition to its scenic views and cultural significance, Dochula Pass is a popular destination for trekking and hiking. The surrounding mountains offer a range of trails suitable for both novice and experienced hikers. Visitors can also enjoy camping, bird watching, and mountain biking in the area.

Rinpung Dzong, also known as Paro Dzong, is a Buddhist monastery and fortress located in the Paro District of Bhutan. It was built in the 15th century by Drung Drung Gyalpo, the Tibetan Buddhist master, to defend against Tibetan invasions. The Dzong is a magnificent example of Bhutanese architecture, with its massive white walls, colorful artwork, and sloping roofs.

The name Rinpung Dzong translates to "Fortress on a Heap of Jewels" and it is considered one of the finest examples of traditional Bhutanese architecture. The Dzong has been the site of several historical events, including a battle between Tibetan and Bhutanese forces in the 17th century.

Today, Rinpung Dzong serves as the administrative center and monastic body of Paro District, as well as a venue for festivals and religious ceremonies. The Dzong houses several temples, including the main temple, which is dedicated to Guru Rinpoche, and the upper temple, which is dedicated to the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara.

Punakha Dzong is a fortress-monastery located in Punakha, Bhutan. It was built in 1637-38 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the first unifier of Bhutan, and it served as the country's capital until 1955.

The dzong is situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (male river) and Mo Chhu (female river) rivers, and it is considered one of the most beautiful and well-preserved dzongs in Bhutan. Its architecture features traditional Bhutanese design elements, including whitewashed walls, large wooden doors, and a central tower with a golden roof.

The dzong is also known for its intricate and colorful frescoes, which depict scenes from the life of the Buddha and other religious figures. The prayer hall inside the dzong houses a massive statue of the Buddha, as well as other religious artifacts and relics.

Punakha Dzong is an important cultural and religious site in Bhutan and is still used for government and religious ceremonies. It is open to visitors, but certain areas may be off-limits during official functions. Visitors are required to dress modestly and remove their shoes before entering the dzong.
