Iraq

Iraq is a country located in the Middle East, bordering Turkey to the north, Iran to the east, Kuwait to the southeast, Saudi Arabia to the south, Jordan to the southwest, and Syria to the west. It is the world's 58th largest country in terms of land area and has a diverse population of over 40 million people.

The capital of Iraq is Baghdad, which is also its largest city. Iraq has a rich history and culture, with important archaeological sites such as the ancient city of Babylon, the ruins of Nineveh, and the famous ziggurat of Ur.

Iraq has a mostly arid and semi-arid climate, with hot summers and mild winters. The Tigris and Euphrates rivers flow through Iraq, providing water for irrigation and serving as important transportation routes.

The official language of Iraq is Arabic, although Kurdish and other minority languages are also spoken. The majority of the population is Muslim, with Shia Muslims comprising the largest group, followed by Sunni Muslims. Iraq also has significant Christian and Yazidi communities.
