Kenrokuen Garden is a traditional Japanese garden located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. The garden was created in the 17th century and is regarded as one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, along with Kairakuen in Mito and Korakuen in Okayama. Kenrokuen means "Garden of the Six Sublimities," which refers to the six attributes of a perfect landscape: spaciousness, seclusion, artificiality, antiquity, abundant water, and panoramic views.

The garden covers an area of 11.4 hectares and features a central pond, streams, waterfalls, bridges, hills, tea houses, and a variety of trees and flowers. Some of the notable attractions in the garden include the Kotojitoro Lantern, which is one of the symbols of the garden and is illuminated at night, and the Kasumigaike Pond, which reflects the surrounding trees and flowers in its crystal-clear waters.

Kenrokuen Garden is particularly famous for its cherry blossoms, which bloom in late March or early April, and its autumn foliage, which peaks in late November. Visitors can enjoy the changing seasons and the different views of the garden throughout the year.

In addition to the garden itself, there are several cultural and historical sites located within or near the garden, such as the Kanazawa Castle, the Seisonkaku Villa, and the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art. These sites offer a deeper insight into the history and culture of the region.

Kenrokuen Garden

Ogimachi Village is a picturesque historic village located in the Shirakawa-go region of Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its unique and traditional thatched-roof houses, known as gassho-zukuri, which are built to withstand heavy snowfall during the winter months.

The village has around 60 houses and buildings that are designated as cultural assets of Japan, and many of them are open to visitors. The houses have steeply sloping thatched roofs, which are made of locally grown straw and are held together by ropes, without the use of nails.

Ogimachi village

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a popular mountain sightseeing route that runs through the Northern Japan Alps in the Toyama and Nagano Prefectures. It is a 90-kilometer-long route that takes visitors through breathtaking landscapes, including mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and lakes.

The route starts from Tateyama Station in Toyama and ends at Omachi Onsenkyo Station in Nagano. It is open from mid-April to mid-November and offers a variety of transportation options, including cable cars, ropeways, buses, and a trolley bus. The highlight of the route is the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Tunnels, which are a series of tunnels that pass through the mountains and offer stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.

Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route

Hikone Castle is a Japanese castle located in Hikone city, Shiga Prefecture, Japan. It was built in 1622 by Ii Naokatsu, a Japanese feudal lord, as a residence and fortress. Hikone Castle is considered one of the finest surviving examples of early modern Japanese castle architecture and is listed as a National Treasure of Japan.

The castle is built on a hilltop overlooking Lake Biwa, which is the largest freshwater lake in Japan. Its design includes multiple layers of defense, with walls, moats, and gates. The central keep of the castle is a three-story structure made of wood and plaster, and is the only original castle keep in Japan that still retains its original appearance.
