About San Marino

San Marino is a small landlocked country located in southern Europe, completely surrounded by Italy. It is one of the world's smallest countries, with a population of around 34,000 and an area of just 61 square kilometers.

San Marino is known for its medieval architecture and beautiful landscapes, and is home to several historic sites and landmarks. The capital, also called San Marino, is situated on a hillside and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Other popular attractions include the Three Towers of San Marino, which are the country's most recognizable symbols, and the Palazzo Pubblico, which houses the government of San Marino.

The country is governed as a parliamentary representative democratic republic, with the Captains Regent serving as the heads of state. Its economy is largely based on tourism, finance, and industry, with manufacturing and banking being important sectors.

San Marino is a member of the United Nations, the Council of Europe, and the World Health Organization, among other international organizations. The official language is Italian, and the country uses the euro as its currency.
