The Hungarian State Opera House, located in central Budapest, is a neo-Renaissance style opera house that was built between 1875 and 1884. It was designed by renowned Hungarian architect Miklós Ybl, and it is considered to be one of his greatest works.

The Opera House's façade is decorated with sculptures and paintings depicting figures from the world of music and theater, such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Shakespeare. The interior is equally impressive, featuring lavish decorations, gold leaf details, and frescoes by Károly Lotz and Bertalan Székely.

The auditorium has a seating capacity of 1,261 and is known for its excellent acoustics. The stage is also quite large, measuring 16 meters by 40 meters, and can accommodate elaborate productions.

Over the years, the Hungarian State Opera House has hosted many famous performers, including Enrico Caruso, Plácido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti. Today, it remains a popular venue for opera, ballet, and other cultural events, and it is open to the public for tours.
