Ponte Pietra is an ancient Roman bridge in the city of Verona, Italy. Built over the Adige River, the bridge was completed in 100 BC and has undergone several renovations and restorations over the centuries. The current structure dates back to the medieval era, with several additions made during the Renaissance.

The bridge is made of limestone blocks and spans approximately 120 meters in length. It consists of three arches, the largest of which measures around 30 meters in width. Originally, the bridge had four arches, but one was destroyed during World War II and later replaced.

Ponte Pietra played an important role in the history of Verona, as it connected the city to the rest of the Roman Empire. It was also strategically significant during several military conflicts, including the Lombard invasion of Italy in the 6th century and the Austrian invasion during the Napoleonic Wars in the 18th century.

Today, Ponte Pietra is a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of the rich history and culture of Verona. Visitors can walk across the bridge and enjoy stunning views of the Adige River and the surrounding landscape.
