The Sheldrick Elephant Nursery is a conservation and rehabilitation center for orphaned elephants located in Nairobi, Kenya. The nursery was established in 1977 by Daphne Sheldrick and is dedicated to the rescue, care, and rehabilitation of elephants that have been orphaned due to poaching, poaching related accidents, poaching-caused illness, or habitat destruction.

The center provides comprehensive care for the elephants, including milk formula, veterinary care, and a supportive environment where the elephants can thrive. The goal of the nursery is to raise the elephants to be healthy, self-sufficient adults, and to release them back into the wild when they are ready.

Visitors to the Sheldrick Elephant Nursery can observe the elephants at feeding times, learn about the work of the center and the challenges facing elephants in the wild, and support the ongoing work of the center through donations and adoptions. Adopting an elephant helps to provide the resources needed for its care and rehabilitation, and adopters can receive regular updates and information about their adopted elephant.
