Trongsa Dzong is an impressive fortress located in the Trongsa district of Bhutan. It is the largest dzong fortress in Bhutan and one of the most iconic landmarks in the country. The fortress was built in 1644 by Chogyal Minjur Tempa, who is also known as the first governor of Trongsa. It is situated on a high ridge overlooking the Mangde River and has been strategically placed to control the east-west trade route.

The dzong is a massive structure with a series of courtyards, temples, administrative offices, and living quarters for monks and officials. The Burning Lake, also known as Mebar Tsho, is a sacred site located in the Tang Valley of Bhutan. It is known for the legend associated with it, which recounts the story of Pema Lingpa, a famous Buddhist saint and treasure revealer.

According to the legend, Pema Lingpa, who was believed to have been blessed with supernatural powers, had a vision of a hidden treasure at the bottom of the lake. He went to the lake, and despite the skepticism of the people who gathered to watch, he jumped into the water with a butter lamp and emerged with a chest containing the treasure.

The Burning Lake is so named because it is said that even though the lake appears to be calm and serene, the water is always boiling deep below the surface. It is also believed that the flames of the butter lamp that Pema Lingpa carried when he jumped into the lake could still be seen burning at the bottom of the lake.

The Burning Lake is considered a sacred site for Bhutanese Buddhists, and many pilgrims visit the site each year to make offerings and seek blessings. The lake is also surrounded by beautiful scenery, and visitors can enjoy a peaceful and picturesque setting.

Punakha Dzong is a fortress-monastery located in Punakha, Bhutan. It was built in 1637-38 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the first unifier of Bhutan, and it served as the country's capital until 1955.

The dzong is situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (male river) and Mo Chhu (female river) rivers, and it is considered one of the most beautiful and well-preserved dzongs in Bhutan. Its architecture features traditional Bhutanese design elements, including whitewashed walls, large wooden doors, and a central tower with a golden roof.

The dzong is also known for its intricate and colorful frescoes, which depict scenes from the life of the Buddha and other religious figures. The prayer hall inside the dzong houses a massive statue of the Buddha, as well as other religious artifacts and relics.

Punakha Dzong is an important cultural and religious site in Bhutan and is still used for government and religious ceremonies. It is open to visitors, but certain areas may be off-limits during official functions. Visitors are required to dress modestly and remove their shoes before entering the dzong.

Dochula Pass is a high mountain pass located at an elevation of 3,116 meters above sea level in Bhutan. It is situated on the road between Thimphu and Punakha and offers stunning views of the Himalayan mountain range.

The pass features 108 chortens, or stupas, which were built by the Queen Mother of Bhutan to honor the Bhutanese soldiers who died in a conflict with Indian rebels in 2003. The chortens are arranged in three layers, with 45 chortens on the first layer, 36 on the second, and 27 on the third. The pass also features a large prayer wheel that visitors can spin to earn merit.

In addition to its scenic views and cultural significance, Dochula Pass is a popular destination for trekking and hiking. The surrounding mountains offer a range of trails suitable for both novice and experienced hikers. Visitors can also enjoy camping, bird watching, and mountain biking in the area.
